Care instructions

Washing - All our work is low fired earthenware and we would not recommend placing your ceramics  in your dishwasher – unless stated otherwise. Hand washing is always kinder to hand made ceramics and glazes. The chemicals in dishwashers can be very harsh and will scratch some glazes, the temperature fluctuation may also cause damage to glaze.

Microwaves – We put our pottery in our microwave with no ill effects. However, we are unable to test it in a range of microwaves so I must advise that you avoid using them in a microwave, unless stated otherwise.

Wood products - wood is a natural product that responds to temperature and humidity variations by expanding and contracting. Sometimes these changes may be noticeable in the physical appearance of the product.

Although every care is taken to ensure our products are able to handle temperature and humidity changes, the conditions of your home can affect the wooden products you buy from us. Your items can experience small movements and cracks as it adjusts - this is not a fault, but a natural occurrence within the fibres of the natural product. Take care of your wood by  not allowing it to be in contact with a direct heat source (radiators/heater/fires) and not to submerge in water or keep in a damp place. Take care of your wood by replenishing it with teak oil periodically.
