One of a pair (no longer a pair, its brother has been stolen by the sea 🌊), this platter is thrown in terracotta, decorated with a technique, used by Japanese ceramicists called 'Hakeme'. Originally this was a Korean art called 'gye yal' where white slip is applied to the surface of the clay body using a stiff brush. Ady has tried to recreate the motion of waves using single action application with slips and custom made brushes. The piece has then been clear glazed and highlighted with gold lustre. 33cm
